We meet the first Saturday of the month at 6:00a to 8:00a 1230p to 230p. Recommended fasting & prayer the day and/or night before. Sun down Thursday to Saturday at 8am could amount to 36 hour fast. My recommendation is 12-40 hours of fasting prayer before we meet.
This year's plan is a journey through the following Psalms: 1; 23; 24; 34; 37; 84; 91; 103; 119; 121; 139; and 150. We'll call it Hiking the Psalms!
These are often referred to as many people's "favorite chapters" of this book of Wisdom & Poetry.
We'll have small devotional Bible excursions along the way to examine 3 special features unique to this book: The longest chapter in the Bible (119); the shortest chapter in the Bible (117:1-2); and the middle verse of all 66 books in the codified Christian Bible (118:8).
Each month in the midst of every detail in your personal & professional schedule. Make time to familiarize yourself with each listed chapter in advance of meeting in person on our DCAG Campus.
If prepared to minister in the listed word of the month, let me know and I'll let you have the floor for some of our time together. Let me implore other men to Step-up and share!

"Masculinity is not something given to you, but something you gain. And you gain it by winning small battles with honor" ~Norman Mailer, Cannibals and Christians (1966)
David was a "man after [God's] own heart" and in my opinion he hasn't stopped seeking men & woman after His own heart.
1 Samuel 13:14 NLT — But now your kingdom must end, for the LORD has sought out a man after his own heart. The LORD has already appointed him to be the leader of his people, because you have not kept the LORD’s command.”
At David's death bed Solomon received final instructions from his dad:
1 Kings 2:2 NLT — “I am going where everyone on earth must someday go. Take courage and be a man.
1 Kings 2:2 KJV — I go the way of all the earth: be thou strong therefore, and shew thyself a man;
1 Kings 2:2 NKJV — “I go the way of all the earth; be strong, therefore, and prove yourself a man.
"Be strong & show yourself a man" ~King David
Let's build up strength in the Lord privately and rally together privately at the community altar to build up a public ministry for men in our region. Some very big things start small. Let's go!
Welcome to the inaugural newsletter of Dove Creek Assembly of God. Issue 1 '24
In 2023 the board of our church formed a Pastorate Search Committee to find a new lead Pastor and prevent the closure of our local church. The search committee was Chairman Rev. Gene Roncone the Rocky Mountain Ministry Network (RMMN) Superintendent, the RMMN Secretary/Treasurer Rev. Jon Bryant and our Advisory Committee: Interim Pastor Rev. Bill Beagley, Claudean Jones, Jason Hall & Dagan Chadd. Without their steadfast diligence and devotion to the Lord's will this church may have been closed. Fortunately the Holy Spirit showed out and these faithful vessels paid the price finding & hiring our current leading Pastor Rev. Nicholas Sybrowsky in August '23.
Pastor Bill & Pastor Nicholas shared the pulpit on Labor Day weekend Passing the Torch and turning over roles & responsibilities officially in September '23. The transition period now behind us was painstakingly travailed with many objectives accomplished and more work to be continued. Falling Leaves was issued announcing initial points of priority and the first 300 days "Run Deep Roots" was later issued helping us navigate the difficult transition together.
What's Next? The next 300 days is briefly outlined here in this inaugural church newsletter: Root's!

Much transpired!!!!
We're very excited to be part of the Lord's Kingdom ministry harvesting souls, mending hearts & sending laborers into the fields in service for the glory of God. Join us this coming year to prepare and execute the will of the Living God; producing the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
Roots that run deep have the ability to grow and prosper others. Psalm 1 roots are the kind of roots the Lord wants us to have (That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither--whatever they do prospers. Psalms 1:3 NIV). The combat boots are off and we keep the Good News of Peace attached to our feet. We are here for the long haul with you as leaders within the local church & community. Hearing the direction of God is what's most critical in the length and depth of our roots here in Dove Creek. We are committed indefinitely, but the Lord may announce a different plan along the way (Proverbs 16:9 NIV). We aim to always be sensitive to the Lord's directing, He is the head of our house & our home congregation.
Pave Parking Lot
In the last year we finished the fence build and installed a patio deck at the parsonage, trimmed trees, shrubs, grasses and increased nutrients in the landscape. Now it’s time to improve our guest parking space with a chip n seal pour. Additionally, get some organized lines painted to promote safety.
Publish Seminary Scholarship
This project area is for the next generation of ministry leaders. We intend to further define the program expectations and budget allotment, then publish this special opportunity to the western slope region. We intend to sponsor students to develop personal theology and attend local church-based seminary for one year. In one year, they will acquire Certificate of Biblical Studies. This will equip them to strengthen their personal ministry and empower eligibility to credential with the Assemblies of God should they desire to be credential holders. The budget will also empower single augment classes for church members.
Refresh & Refine Vision as a Church
Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he. (Proverb 29:18 KJV). Affiliated as a local church in the Assemblies of God, we share the same vision as other churches in our district. I affirm & believe God has called the church to a four-fold purpose:
Provide space to worship God together in spirit & truth,
Reach & help the spiritually lost be saved,
Disciple the found to develop maturity &
Demonstrate His love & compassion for people and helping those in need.
Our mission, vision and values are “Thy Kingdom Come, Go Dove Creek” Each local body is unique for an unlisted number of reasons. What is unique about us here at First Assembly of God Dove Creek, Colorado? What is our distinct brand? What sets us apart from the others?
Establish a budget for vision “Go”. Rally a committee to promote refreshment and refinement of our board team’s Worldview, Mission, Vision Values and goals. With inputs from the committee we can gain stimulus of strategic creative imagination in the church staff.
Upgrade Media Center
In the first 300 days we purchased a new head set & receiver for public speakers, some mic covers and installed some smart tv monitors. Our current computer is functional, but not as effective as we anticipate an upgrade will be. We intend to integrate a stronger computing system and software to promote increased media center effectiveness for the overhead projector, smart monitors and live streaming capability. Main upgrades to include: Computer system and software support, camera and sound recording to support live streaming (potential streaming software investment), Media Shout training, potential upgrade or change. Bundle projector and smart monitors to support practical plug and play. Alignment of music stream and musicians without “can music effect”.
Build & Publish New Members-Handbook
The most valuable result of evangelization of the world is that everyone is given the opportunity to clearly understand who Jesus is and then make a deliberate choice to accept, believe & confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. You don't need to be a member of the local church to accept Jesus as described, but if you want to follow Jesus and mature as a Christian it helps to be a member of the local church to engage in the Great Commission. Jesus never intended for us to execute the commission without being part of the body of Christ, which is the church. Battle buddies, life groups, net groups and teamwork all make the evangelization of the world possible. It takes interdependent commitment to fulfill the 4-fold purpose of the Church (Lk 10:1, Mk 6:7, Mt 9:37, Jn 9:35, Ecc 4:12). We are better & stronger together! Anyone can attend our public meetings. To engage in many aspects of our ministries (Heb. 10:25) and do more than consume the Gospel. Membership is crucial to be successful in the great commission. Let's build up a new members handbook to help us lead others into our church ministry and experience the byproduct of great fellowship and service that glorifies God. Gospel production! This guest services project will include development of 3 :30-minute tracks to membership application.
Build & Publish Memory Book
Another posterity project. The church centennial isn't just around the bend, but let's prepare for the 2036 Centennial Celebration! One project I think we can collaborate on is honoring the past, present and future of this church by building a memory book. When we dive into our history, we get a valuable hindsight view of our past, which enhances our ability to springboard our long-term vison into plausible actions for today. Join the committee team to help us build, set goals, track progress and stimulate a memory record. Let's connect to our local heritage, honoring the past and future posterity with this 90th Birthday gift to posterity!
Summary
Thank you for listening to this vision the Lord Jesus Christ has led me to share with you as the Pastor of His local church here in Dove Creek, Colorado. We aim to accomplish this and more, but most importantly propagate the Gospel of Jesus Christ harvesting souls for the One True God's eternal honor & glory. Suit-up in the full armor of God. Show-up to contribute to the mission. Reaching, teaching, mending and sending to fulfill the great commission initiated by the LORD!
