Prayer Breakfast & Ministry in the Word

We meet the first Saturday of the month at 6:00a to 8:00a 1230p to 230p.  Recommended fasting & prayer the day and/or night before. Sundown Thursday to Saturday at 8am could amount to 36 hour fast.  My recommendation is 12-40 hours of fasting prayer before we meet.

This year's plan is a journey through the following Psalms:  1; 23; 24; 34; 37; 84; 91; 103; 119; 121; 139; and 150.  We'll call it Hiking the Psalms!

These are often referred to as many people's "favorite chapters" of this book of Wisdom & Poetry.

We'll have small devotional Bible excursions along the way to examine 3 special features unique to this book:  The longest chapter in the Bible (119); the shortest chapter in the Bible (117:1-2); and the middle verse of all 66 books in the codified Protestant Christian Bible (118:8).

Each month in the midst of every detail in your personal & professional schedule. Make time to familiarize yourself with each listed chapter in advance of meeting in person on our DCAG Campus.

Hiking the Psalms

12 Month Outline:

October 5th:  Ps. 1

November 2nd:  Ps. 23 

December 7th:  Ps. 24.  Excursion 1 Ps. 119.

January 4th:  Ps. 34

February 1st:  Ps. 37 Men's Conference.  Vanpool departs no later than 0745 & returns no later than 3:00pm.  $10.00 helps cover conference cost, but don't let the cost stop you.  We can cover you!

March 1st:  Ps. 84.  Excursion 2 Ps. 117:1-2. 

• Men's Assembly. On the basis of interest, we can attend a Men's Retreat in Fruita, Colorado Friday March 7-8th.  Minimum of 3 others for me to commit.  Must commit no later than our coming assembly on March 1st at 12:30p.  Information available at this link.  Minimum cost to you is $75.  This includes one dinner & one breakfast, see this link for further event details.  I can fit up to 3 men in my truck and four men in my RV (Gas & Lodging covered by Pastor).  Tent option plausible.

David was a "man after [God's] own heart" and in my opinion he hasn't stopped seeking men & woman after His own heart.

1 Samuel 13:14 NLT — But now your kingdom must end, for the LORD has sought out a man after his own heart. The LORD has already appointed him to be the leader of his people, because you have not kept the LORD’s command.”

At David's death bed Solomon received final instructions from his dad: 

1 Kings 2:2 NLT — “I am going where everyone on earth must someday go. Take courage and be a man.

1 Kings 2:2 KJV — I go the way of all the earth: be thou strong therefore, and shew thyself a man;

1 Kings 2:2 NKJV — “I go the way of all the earth; be strong, therefore, and prove yourself a man.

Let's build up strength in the Lord privately and rally together privately at the community altar to build up a public ministry for men in our region.  Some very big things start small.  Let's go!

Godly masculinity isn't dead!
